  1. Upload Your PDF Document: Begin by dragging and dropping your desired PDF file directly into the designated drop-zone box. Alternatively, click the blue "Choose PDF File" button to open your local file explorer and pick your file. Once loaded, the utility displays your file name and size while keeping all document data stored locally within browser memory.
  2. Define a Secure Password: Locate the Password Settings section that appears automatically. Type your desired access password into the first input field, then re-enter the exact same string inside the Confirm Password input field. The real-time strength meter monitors complexity metrics—such as length, special characters, uppercase letters, and digits—guiding you toward maximum protection. Toggle the "Show" button if you need to double-check typed text.
  3. Select Your Encryption Level: Choose your preferred encryption algorithm from the dropdown menu. By default, AES-256 is active, offering top-tier cryptographic safety for confidential data. If you require document access on older or legacy software platforms, select AES-128 instead for enhanced backward compatibility across legacy PDF viewers.
